This is the first of a number of pictures I will be posting from the Spirit of the West Festival that was held here recently! This is a mounted shooter. They ride horseback in a timed event where balloons are set up in a course and the riders come out shooting! Any misses or unbroken balloons count against their time. They shoot only blanks, but the gun powder still travels far enough to break the ballons. This gal is "Dead-eye Darla"..(you dont want to know what happened to the last man who cheated on her) ;-)

Hey this is a great action shot! (Photo and subject) I know that she has the rough riddin' cowgirl eye. What great colors and clarity. Good job! Bring on the rest of the series.
