I think maybe 3.5 would be better the way the road looked this day! Took this photo yesterday as a blizzard with snow and winds gusting over 40 mph made travel near impossible at times. I think the only thing breaking the speed limit was the snow, which seemed to be travelling horizontally more than vertically!

White out! White out! I hope you didn't have to travel far to get this shot! It really is stark, isn't it? You captured the message and the shot in one click of the shutter button. This pictures says a lot. You are right about the 3.5. Perhaps it would be better to stay put. It looks like the plows came by at least once. Nicely done and I think this is a wonderful image. I'm glad you posted it.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Hey East River...you have all the snow! I am sorry that it is like this there. We have the wind here today which seems like at times it is going to blow my house away. Well stay home and have a good cup -a-joe as I hear there are 'No Travel' advisories for your area today. I like what this photo depicts but boy you are brave to step out and take it. Jodie

Yep, I know exactly what you mean Dan & I would be one of those people going 3.5 mph ... on second thought I wouldn't dare go out in white out conditions. This is what it looks like outside my door right now & doesn't look like the snow will let up anytime too soon. When you live in the upper midwest we have only 3 seasons ... winter, summer, & winter. LOL. Better days are ahead ... we can only hope. A great shot neighbor & drive safely.

Thanks for reminding why I don't seem to miss trucking. All my white-out experiences took on I-94 in Michigan. You can have them. Of course, a driving rainstorm is just as bad. great post.
Now, GO HOME!
