Naples, Florida, USA. In late January, the day we arrived in Naples a day of rain showers dampened attempts at touring. However, as the rain stopped late in the afternoon, it bode well for a beautiful sunset sky. So, my wife and I went to the Naples Pier, where these clouds, covering the entire sky, led me to think that it would be a great sunset for photography. As the sun made its descent to the horizon, a breeze aided the clouds to continue on their way southeastward leaving a clear sky; when the sun reached the horizon, only a few distant horizon-level would remain. Seeing the developing disappointing sunset, I shot this before the clouds fully cleared the sun's path. (16mm, 1/60, f/18, ISO 125, AP, ND filter)
