As the saying goes: Red sky in morning...well, it turned out to be true. Even though only one lone cloud can be seen here, by the time afternoon rolled around there was quite a storm kicking up.

The orange juice-colored sky was very intense.

There is an old saying for sailors : "Red in the morning, sailor take warning - Red at night, Sailor's delight" So it is no wonder that it turned stormy. Warning or not, it is a lovely sunrise very well captured.

Hey, PJ. I can't tell you how many sunsets I have had
to vote on in the last couple of days. Yuck! That being
said, it is a pleasure to look at yours. Such a simple
image yet constructed so beautifully. I think that the
texture of the water, the balance of sky to water and the
rocks in the foreground are a winning formula. Thank-you.

Orange juice, anyone? The color is so rich that it leaks into the ocean, flooding it and transforming the water itself... I like the small outcropping of rock that lets us know Ogunquit is definitely not a sandy sweep of beach...

Weird how that saying holds true isn't it. Sorry I've not been around much PJ, just life getting in the way... This is one of the orangest (does that word exist?) sunsets I've ever seen, with the sun perfectly set off against that metallic, ridged water. Nicely captured.
