The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

One of the more creative ones from the oldies, Rob. I like how you gave him blue jammies to show he is all boy. We still don't know what John Suter looks like. :) Great work per usual.

It's a cute shot and the coloring is perfect. I did a little research using the words "John Suter", "Washington, DC", and 1900, and discovered that there is a well-known "Old Stone House" in DC, on the National Historic Register, and is associated with a John Suter and John Suter, Jr. Some misguided posturing by locals brought it to the government's attention as a one-time headquarters of George Washington, but it was more confidently associated with the Suters as "Suter's Tavern. To read about this interesting little piece of history and obfuscation, and viewing some good historic and current photos of the place, follow this link. There is always the possibility, however, that the toddler John we see in this photo is not the Suter in the article... or is her? ;oP

By your excellent and very apt colorization, you've increased the 'cute-factor' significantly, Rob. Proves to me again that you're the master in this branch of art. Compliments again, my friend!

I agree with Cornelius, you are a master. Depth is strong, colorization spot on, and it is an unusual scene, but works well with your touch.

First off, I must commend the decision of the original photographer to capture this little tyke from behind...such shots can be quite effective and expressive, and in this case you see the hint of those chubby cheeks from the side and the little hand in the pocket as the little guy seems to be studying something on the wall...it's very cute...comparing your image to the original I think you did a great job, not only in the coloring but also your attempt to add depth or a 3D look...skillfully done, Rob, and a fave for me.
