We spent a long time Friday watching our bluebirds fledge. The first one went fast. The other two had to be coached out. It took a few bugs before they braved their new world.

It is also difficult for young bluebirds to leave their familiar world.
Well-timed photograph, Ted.

A great action capture, Ted. I think if we didn*t have so many birds feeding their young, we would likely be overrun by insects in short order (it is rare for me to clearly see the living meal that mom or dad is delivering).
