Nice close-up and a good point of view Sandi. It has that cute factor also.

Life's moments are sweet. I just want to capture all that I can of them.

Look at that tongue! Nice close-up shot of the giraffe getting a "tiny" meal.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

My 3-year-old granddaughter Bella just saw this up on my screen; "Ooohhhh cuuuuute" was her response. Apparently, living only an hour from the New Orleans zoo, the giraffe is her favorite zoo animal, although I had to explain that that was the giraffe's tongue, extended to grab the proffered leaf. I discovered her preference yesterday when she chose favorite zoo animals for all of us. Mine? A cow (???whuh???).

Happy Trail, Sandi

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

This is a great photo! I like the dappled lighting, the softness of the giraffe's fur and its the patterns, the lines on the fence, the sweetness of the look on the giraffe's face, the smallness of the hand in comparison. Just a wonderful shot and, in my opinion, could be a contender in the current contest.

What a sweet face! You are so good at capturing genuine and charming expression, Sandi.

The additional patterning of the light and shadow play across the giraffe's own natural spots is fantastic. Really well done!
