This image is from my vacation in early June to Michigan when i visited Stylo, and his wife Pam. It has become a must visit spot when I'm up there.

The link that Lyn gave is for the right park.

Thank you Lyn.

I used On One Photo Raw 2018 to edit.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

When I saw the title I did not know what to expect - some mill buildings or a girl called Sharon !
Nicely composed with great clarity and colour and the curved pergola is placed just right !
I found This link which I am assuming is the correct place ?

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

That bright "shelter" looks very nice against the darker background. Nice details and shadows here too.

Sandi, I was searching for Lady Sharon Mills until I had read your narrative and checked-out Lyn's link. An intriguing construction, but I still don't know its function.
I suppose that it's a picturesque pavilion used for weddings and events.
I've read this on the net: "Sharon Mills County Park is located on the banks of the Raisin River in southwest Washtenaw County. Originally erected as a grist mill in the 1880s, it was purchased by Henry Ford in the 1920s for light manufacturing. The mill itself has seen many transformations over the years. In 2000, the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission initiated building and site restoration to provide the public the picturesque park it is today."

A nicely framed shot. I would have preferred it without the red tint though. It muddies the image and makes the single pink cloud too distracting. It's a lovely spot though and looks like the kind of place where small, private weddings could take place. The shade being created isn't very functional, so the awning is as much an art statement as a sun cover.

Although it has nothing to do with Greece, as following Lyn's link fully indicates, the curve of the pergola nevertheless has the feel, to me, of some ancient Greek architecture. It's interesting for me in that, right now, I'm reading about the history of this very area, along the Raisin River, during the War of 1812, heavily contested by the British and local Indian tribes vs. American troops. Having visited a couple other of those contested places, Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island, and Fort Michilimackinac at the north tip of Michigan's southern peninsula, I get the same sense here, one of attempting to place myself 200 years back in time. I'm thinking this spot is an outdoor part of the pavilion there, and possibly a spot where some of those weddings have been conducted. T'would make for some interesting photos of the bridal party and bratty younger cousins (who can't seem to forego fingers in noses and "rabbit ear" gestures behind the heads of other cousins:o).
