Here is one more from my recent visit to the animal sanctuary.

I had never been able to get a decent shot with the lens through the fencing of this gorgeous serval until that last visit.

Final editing was done using On 1 Photo Raw. I appreciate your comments, thank you!

Interesting perspective! The head looks much smaller from this angle.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

How unusual, the person above is correct about the size of this animals head. I am not an animal person, but would imagine those legs would be built for speed when on a hunt!...Good capture.

Unusual coloring I think makes the head seem smaller from this angle. It's a great shot though.

Nice shot through the fence although one can see the interference from the fence on top and bottom of the serval. That is rather difficult to correct, I know.

Excellent capture of this most unusual cat Sandi - most certainly those long legs indicate speed.

It wasn't until I read through your narrative a couple times that I realized i wasn't seeing things... like a deformed house cat with stilts for legs. So I went hunting online and found this cool video of an adult Serval and this short video of a kitten chirping. Apparently people make pets of them. Now this is a cat this dog lover could dig.

I have to agree with Prof Knik of this being a cat for a dog lover. The dog might not love it however.
Great shot and you really captured its long legs to perfection.

My what long legs...perhaps I'm mistaken, didn't Pat Andre have this type of cat?...anyhow, great work on this unusual but beautiful feline.

A beautiful Serval captured in a for photography difficult environment, Sandi, but as always you've achieved the best possible result. Thanks and compliments for the done effort, my friend!

Now that cat is built for hunting. With those legs, it would probably be a great hunter. Good job Sandi.
