I find the cardinals very hard to capture with the lens, they seem very aware of everything, and sure don't give many photo opts.

I want to say an extra special thank you for the support, and wonderful compliments on my bird postings I have been sharing with you.

Almost all of them are taken through the window glass. When I open the window, they seem to know something is up, and will pass on by! I have only managed a few with it open.

Thanks so much, I do appreciate your comments, and suggestions.

I find even the stances of these wee feathered acrobats to be entertaining. The same thing happens when I try to get photos of birds that land in our maples but, if I don't mind a little dust and a bug or three coming in, I will sometimes leave the window open and the interior of the house dark, setting up my camera and tripod ahead of time. Then, as I go about my day, I keep an eye out in case a bird lands on a branch out there. My being in the dark (a common situation for me anyway) keeps me hidden somewhat from the birds. However, judging from the marked lack of bird photos from my gallery, I still don't get many decent shots of them, certainly not as good as the ones you submit, Sandi. I still can't get over the clarity and overall beauty of the photos you shoot through a window!!! OY!!!

I've enjoyed every single one of them. You've gotten better and better at capturing your little friends. Keep snapping!!

There was a beautiful male Cardinal right outside my window yesterday making a racket. Very nice capture of this female.

Beautiful little female cardinal and she seems to have a bit of a cheeky look in her expression as if purposely posing...great shot SAS!

---Almost all of them are taken through the window glass---

If you hadn't told us, we would have thought that all your bird photos had been taken outside the house, Sandi.

Perfect one however. Think that using the advice of Chris above, isn't necessary at all. Let him give a try. Sure that the result could be disappointing, ☺ .
My compliments for this series, my friend!
