While visiting a new woods with a friend of mine, she spotted this very cool mushroom, and knew the name of it, Pheasant Back Mushroom also known as Dryads Saddle.
For a fungi, I thought it was rather pretty, and fits the name of it. :)
This will be my contest entry.

That is beautiful! and will be stiff competition in any contest. I love the framing with the greens and the log and the patterns on mushroom are remarkable....thanks for posting this....

It certainly fits its name, looking very much like the back feathers on a female pheasant. Looking at some of the more recent comments here, it appears you won a contest with it. Been away for quite a while so I will need to go check out all the entries.
