Ornamental allium - the row houses across the street from my building have used this extensively in their landscaping and it's been blooming since early June and still blooming!
Very nice Kathy. I am more familiar with the purple coloured ones - this is so different and en mass must make a beautiful spectacle. The raindrops on the leaves here are an added bonus :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
You got a very nice close up of the blooms. There a a number of pretty hybrids now, the the color varieties are interesting, as shown here. These smaller ones bloom for much longer periods than the giant allium.
Wonderful flowers with a typical fragrance (somewhat similar to garlic), Kathy. I'm not sure whether the ornamental Allium has this fragrance, in contrary to the wild ones.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

If you pulled the contrast way forward, the scene would look like fireworks exploding. Perhaps that is what they are, only created by nature and in slow-motion, so we can ^Ooooh^ and ^Aaahhh^ at our leisure. Very nice, Kathy.
