Spathiphyllum is a genus of about 47 species of flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical regions of the Americas and southeastern Asia. Certain species of Spathiphyllum are commonly known as spath or peace lilies. This is my entry for the current contest.

Kathy, in my country these flowers are often used in funeral bouquets often with a ribbon that reads: "Rest in Peace". Just because of this association, your beautiful photograph is extremely suitable to act as an entry for the current contest.

This is a beautiful specimen.
Where I am sitting right now I have one I can reach out and touch right next to my computer. The first year I had it it flowered profusely, second year not so much and for the past 3 years it has just grown leaves. I have given it a good talking to and shown it your bloom and told it to get flowering again !
