in reply to your feedback(thanks by the way) its easy to get that when you have a 4.1 megp camera. and you have unlimited tries. I think i had to hold him down though to get this shot so that he/she wouldn't try to rub against me. if i had a flash then it would have been ok.

Thank you very much for the flattering praise of "Camp Mooch". I'm very pleased you like it. I'm also very grateful for the rest of your comments. That is what photography is for me, sharing my view of the natural world with wonderful people such as you.
A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

Is that a SENEGAL parrot??????? Wow. Long ago and far away, in Washington DC, I had such a bird. He went by the name of Horatio. Today he lives with another Senegalese in the home of a man who is retired and can give him the attention he needs and deserves.
Tell me about your bird? dusa1947
Thankyou for your comments on (SILHOUETTES)....I'm afraid the image is not a photo taken up in the mountains.....I found it was quite good fun trying to create this one...All the best...Mick.
From Mars Eh lol! Thanks for the comment you left on "Nanaimo River". THat iamge was taken with a Kodak LS 443 4.0 MP camera (has since been stolen):-)) Allowed the upgrade to Canon 20D
Hiya, thanks for answering the question about if you were underwater taking that pic of the jelly fish...ha, and it isnt crazy here, we have jellyfish that dont sting.
Hi, thanks for your lovely words for " Birds Of A Feather " glad you like it. I will have to get back to you on the type of bird, my son took the photo when visiting Australia.
Hello, thank you so much for what you wrote about "Sleeping Beauties". I really appreciated that...Dianna :^)) p.s. Love your icon. I used to raise exotic birds. Alot of work and time but very rewarding.
after seeing your name which is new to me i looked at your gallery. you have some great shots especially the ones which include water. i am a water fanatic. thanks so much for liking this one. it is a magnificent beach. jen
sorry for my late reply in regard with your question about the camera!
I use a Canon 350D and a 18-55mm and 50-200mm lense.
Futhermore I have a battery grip attached which makes the camera much heavier and bigger. I prefer that for better grip and stability.
The camera can be operted in many modes so I can experience a lot with different techniques.
Thanks for the message!

Hi there, and thanks for your kind comment on "False Spring" :-) The cherry blossom hasn't been as good here this year, but I'm still hoping to get out and take some photos of it if only the weather will improve....
Thank you very much for your comments on "Standing His Ground". I'm very pleased you like it.
Light is that magical phenomenon that allows us to enjoy the sights of the physical world. That property grants me the ability to interpret and record the beauties of which are so vital to me: my physical environment. Each of us sees and interprets the world a little differently and I am happy to share my interpretive vision of it with you.

I can't say enough how much I appreciate you gliding by to check out Lemon-Lime . It was super windy here yesterday and this was a tough shot to get, I think I did about 7 or 8 of this one and this was the only one to come out half-way decent. Thanks again!!
Hallo and thank you for finding time to look at mu pictures and comment on ...summer day... glad you like it..like you ,I take pictures for fun ..this process is really exsiating :)

Thanks for your comment on "Peeping parrot". No, it's a wild bird that was in a tree outside my dining room window. I have a much better photo of the same bird on my site www.rescope.com.au in the "sky" gallery (I did have it here on caedes but removed it due to copyright concerns, I'll probably re-upload it soon)
I appreciate your comment on my 'Passion Flower', I am new to this game. The photo is untouched except for a slight hue adjustment to bring out the lighter areas and add some contrast to a fairly plainly lit subject.
Thanks for commenting on Beach Walk. There are many photos on the site that I can relate to and just so how peaceful the world can be and inspiring the photos are for everyday life. I use the wallmaster so I can drift to other places with the downloads from the site. Thanks again. Ted
Thanks for the comments on my picture "On The Edge" If you like butterfly/flower pictures I posted a bunch on my pbase site from a shoot Friday. The gallery is called “An Afternoon with an Old Friend the Canon D-60”. A link to the site is on my Caedes profile page.
I love this site and everyone I've met has stimulated my artistic side in some way or another. I am embarrassed to say this, but I guess I've missed this message portion of Caedes all this time, as I have just spent the last hour and a half reading over all the kind comments and thanks from ppl to whom I have left posts on their uploads. I usually drop a personal message when ppl comment on mine, but I suppose this is a better way to do it. So my apologies to all...I'll endeavor to do a better job in the future. Every time I turn around on here, there is yet something more to explore, so I want to thank each and every one of you for all your kind comments and the time you take to look at our posts and leave a line or two. I'm sure enjoying my photographic side much more now that I've found this site and all the wonderful ppl on it :)PJ

Thanks for your comment on "Flower...SUN". The shot from the flower was good, but how could that one come out of a little frame. An exercice with photoshop. Thanks for the support.
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my picture “Chewey” The squirrel’s in this park are not tame so a long lens and some hunting skills are beneficial.

Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on my Fall State Fair 3 image. It was taken last year at the fair in Perry Ga. This one was a merge of several images because the lights on the Zipper were out on one side and it wasn't filled in completely.
