Horsing Around-Chapter Forty Five

I found this photo in my golf bag and it made me wonder what happened to Chip. He is approaching a year old and first appeared in the Horsing Around series in Chapter Five. I think this will make the fifth time he has appeared making him even more famous than Junior. If you would like to take a stroll through the series you can go here and work your way backwards. I still see his dad (Everett) and mom (Penny), but Chip has moved on to hopefully greener pastures. I might have to recruit the Malta Falcon to help me again. I heard Bogie let him go because of the economy. Plus he was stealing oats.

Chip is still a colt and keeps that title until he reaches the age of four. Let's hope they call him a stud at that point in his life. It is when he approaches his first birthday they decide whether he is going to join the breeding stock. If he doesn't, it hurts me to say this, he will become a gelding. All I can say about a gelding is they have no need for a golf bag. I can't imagine anyone not wanting more little Chips around. He's the spitting image of Everett so I would say his chances are pretty good. I better go call the Malta Falcon and get him on the case. Chip might need to be rescued.

Beautiful horses & Chip is quite the handsome boy as well ... I can already tell that he would make a perfect stud. Looks like they have some nice green pasture to graze & the sky is absolutely gorgeous. Glad you dug deep in your golf bag for this one. Fantastic post Tick.

OH, I love this shot. Love the look of the horse on the Right, she's staring right at the camera. The green grass looks great against that beautiful blue sky as well. Great post.

I think it is blasphemy for you to let such as this linger in the golf bag! I'm on the fence which I enjoy more the sky or the horses... I don't see how this one could be improved saved to my bag.

Sounds like you're going to get some good leads if you pick up the option on the Falcon. If you're lucky he might even work for free (or for oats) given the state of the economy!

Nicely thought out and arranged, my friend. You always do such good work.

I remember seeing this one when you submitted it, Ron, and I'm confused as to why I never commented on it, liking horses as I do. Ah, well, better late than never. They're well-treated and definitely used to people, obvious from their attitude towards being photographed. The Palamino on the right looks like he's about to approach in hopes of a treat. Cool. What's not so cool is that of the 42 comments I counted on this one (I get to be #43), nine years after you submitted it, twenty-five of them are no longer submitting... that's 60 percent. Oy!
