One of the many canals in the medieval town of Bruges, Belgium. For having so many canals downtown Bruges, it got the nickname "Venice of the North".

It's about time for the city management to appoint you as the official city photographer and immediately start work on a coffee table book of Bruges using your pictures.

It's easy to see why it might have gotten that name - love the deep blue of the water in this one with its gentle curve

I have to wonder if Bruges has the pillars under some buildings, standing deep in water, the way Venice does. Another great shot of a body of water that, unfortunately, does not have my kayak in it, C.
