I like to continue my Bruges, Belgium series with a night-shot of the Church of Our Lady.

By checking-out the above link, you may find interesting facts about the church, who's choir was built between 1270-1280 and its additions were built in the 14th and 15th century.

You get many beautiful night scenes. In cities, it might be time for fewer people.

A stunner, C. A stunner. While the mission and reason behind Caedes is to share art and provide computer wallpaper between artists, I actually rarely download any nowadays, reasoning that if I was going to save copies of the *good ones*, I would end up with a huge file. That being said, however, I cannot go on without downloading this one of yours. During daylight I find Bruges to be a beautiful city, but this night capture, with the lit tower, the canal bisecting the lines of buildings and streets, and everything reflecting in the water, including Christmas lights (?), speaks volumes to my love of history, architecture, and strong contrasts of light and color. I actually came back and opened this one several times, studying it closely each time, in an effort to arrive at an appropriate comment that I felt it deserved. I have done that a number of times in the past with your submissions, C. They are so damn good they deserve extra attention. After more than four decades of shooting photos, most of that time in a professional capacity, I can admit that I am still learning, every day, and still capable of awe at the work of others. You are definitely in that group, C., so thank you for all that you awe. ;o]
