More than 7 years ago, I've provided you with a pretty similar motion blurred image of a Dutch traditional windmill.

Because of the current contest topic 'Motion Blur', I thought another one of this series would be an appropriate item for this contest, so I peeked through my RAW-images gallery for another suitable one and the above picture is the result of my 'exploration' (😁).

The reason that I did this photo shoot was because I was often asked: "Cornelius, are the traditional windmills in your country still are functioning?" My reply was always: "Most of them, because functioning extend the lifetime for a traditional windmill. Standing still would mean 'going backwards'."

In order to give a visual proof of its functioning, I fixed my camera on a tripod in front of such a windmill and then I let my camera, 'fired' by a remote control device, take in a split second two single RAW-images that both were saved separately on the SD-card in my camera. Than I used the 'image overlay' function of this camera to create from the two slightly different pictures one single RAW-picture. The next step was converting the RAW-image into the for Caedes suitable PNG-format.

This result, being my entry for the 'Motion Blur' contest, was taken in Westkapelle, a village on the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

As Sancho Panza once said to Don Quixtote, “Your Grace, I swear by my wife's little black moustache that's not a giant, it's only a… ”

I'm glad Quixtote did not slay your windmill before you got this shot, Mr. C.

Another entry in the latest contest. A beautiful photo encapsulating the windmill and the houses behind it. This one seems different from the others you have posted.

Perfect entry for the contest, of course. The result is original and mind boggling. This seems to be an incredibly complex procedure, but worth the result.

Boy oh boy, the blur on those blades is amazing, truly showing motion as well as structure. I read your post text, C., and see you applied a little ingenuity to achieve this terrific result. I would wish you luck in the contest but I dont think you will need it. A fave and save for me.
