He (?) wanted to shake hands, but because the photographer was limited by shooting pictures and partly because of his/her/its chained condition, this was prevented, 😁 .

It's been a while since I provided you with a so-called 'Manic Monday' (Mē) picture, but when I saw this scene, I thought this was a suitable item for this topic again. The photograph was taken at a comtempory art festival in Middelburg, Zeeland, The Netherlands and was taken on August 18th, 2022.

PS: This sculpture is created by the Dutch artist Folkert de Jong (from Amsterdam) and is named 'Vagevuur' (Purgatory). Folkert says: "It's not exactly a horror doll. Maybe it's an alien. In any case, it's a sexless figure, neither male nor female. With a height of 2.20 meters, it's a kind of Hercules, a superhero with a beer belly. The doll is stood on two industrial springs, the surface is soft. You are allowed to touch him/her. Hitting is also allowed. I'm very curious to find out what the presence of that doll will do to the audience. Hopefully, it will also activate people who are not so much into art."

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I'm sure this is not on the streets very often. It would get my attention. I think it is better someone else owns it.

Guess it must be dangerous to have all those chains around it. Super photo for Manic Monday though.

The first time I spotted this one my mind immediately went to the "chained" scene in the 1974 Gene Wilder/Henry Boyle comedy, "Young Frankenstein". Reading your post text, C., gives me the idea that this is an interactive art piece that is more 20th Century, pre-internet, than 21st Century. A fun one for a Monday, quite possibly channeling how some people might feel about going back to work after a weekend away.
