That's a giant snow cone maker, what's it doing in a aircraft museum ?? I'd like a large cherry one please. LOL Nice one Patti, I'll bet you're a grape person. :)

Too easy!! I helped design these baby’s!! They’re subterranean earthworm movers!! You got too many earthworms in your yard you just plant one of these mothers in the ground and BAM, they’re gone!! They also work well on moles & voles!! The cost?? A mere $ 68,750 USD and you’re good to go!! Plus, it’s backed by an unconditional 30 minute guarantee!! What more could ya want!!

About neatness I can agree. Clean enough and well dusted apparently.
Nicely kept a modern wine barrel - they improved the technology so much that stainless steel performs perfectly OK as a vat !!!
I cannot help that at this time of the evening [02.52 am or so] anything reminds me of some nice drink ... not too soft either ...

I'm not sure but it was used in all of the "Austin Powers" movies. I think it cleansed the room of foul odors. Whatever it is, you have a great photo of it. I like the blue reflection on the bottom. I think that's what is throwing me off on the year and model. I'll get back to you. Good post.

Patti, I was reading all the comments above, but think 'some' people were kidding you. It's an already 'old fashioned' (I assume it's one of the first) gas turbine motor of a (probably) militairy jet plane' without its addional equipment. Think it's too small (can't determine sufficiently its scale at your image) for a commercial plane. I would not be surprised when it was either an experimental or a 'Gloster Meteor' motor (first military jet). Think Hans (dutch_postings) will give you the final solution indeed. Anyhow a nice image, Regards, Cornelius

Nice shot Patti! I forget what they call this, but the spaghetti comes out from the hole on the right. But be careful, the pressure is intense. Inhabitants of Bologna still remember the great Carbonara & Tomato Disaster of '63!

I just LOVE the way you've framed it in pink with a pretty blue edge!! Looks like we've both gone in for an experiment this time Patti, and this is a definite thumbs up. Who'd have thought you could have made an aircraft engine this interesting! 10/10 from me.

Brilliant capture here Patti and fully agree with Nigel above in really liking the way you've framed it. Only YOU could make a photo of an old engine look stunning!!! 10/10 from me too!

Hmmm, at the moment i am short of ideas of wich jet engine this could be.
One thing is sure, we are looking from the back to the front here, and the black cone is a hint, but not a death give away, since a lot of early yets in the UK had this.
I am sure i will be able to find out, it only takes some time :-)
