This is another image of a Milkweed seed. It is taken with the seed facing camera and strands flowing out behind it...almost like it is exploding in frame. This image has been run through HDR which really brought out background.

So soft, white and fluffy and very beautiful! I'm glad you didn't frame this one too. Just an excellent photo, Gerry!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

There's beauty in the tiniest of things. Milkweeds are what monarchs love to feed and lay eggs on so I'm fond of them for many reasons.

Hi Gerald,
Love the crispness of the details in your image,
Truly a beautiful sight,
How did you run it through HDR, did you take different exposures from a single RAW, or what did you do,
Nicely done,

Thanks for sharing
Kind regards
Tim

Gerry, I'm honest by saying that, in general, I'm not a great fan of HDR. In this case, however, it works wonderfull well.
Great macro!

This image gives me the feeling of motion, like the seed is being propelled through the air. That is a super macro, again Gerry. Nice coloring.

I like 98 per cent of the shot. That leaves 2 per cent for the rest of you. You're lucky I didn't want whole milk (weed). Actually there isn't anything I don't like about this. Clarity and coloring is pure Gerry.

HDR was exactly the right way to go with this fine beauty. The clarity alone is amazing...good 'un, Mr. P!!

Beautiful, Gerry!
Your splendid shots of the seedheads encouraged me to try something similar and I was going to upload my effort, then looked at this and thought, why bother lol. Back to the drawing board for me, I may even try the HDR :)

I think this is simply wonderful, and it is on my desktop right now, because I love it and for inspiration :)
