Captured this when I was in Missouri at the lovely St. Louis Zoo (2017, 10-23 Monday). I waited for a while in order to see if this beauty would come my way.

Thought I'd post this for my friend Sandi because I know she loves big kitties.

Well Folks Winter has arrived here, we received 15cm/6" of the white stuff with bad snow squalls, now the temperature is -16C/3.2F, burr and the wind chill is -23C/-9.4F. Now I have to go out and use my blower to clean the driveway.

I'll be back in a couple of hours to comment, have over 200 to view so please be patient. So many things going on around here & that is why I haven't been around for a while.

Thank You in Advance for your Comments and Stopping by. Have a great day.

What a great environment for the cheetah, so natural in a zoo. A far cry from the wire cages of my youth. 6" of snow, eh? A little lake effect coming off Superior? We have a 200-mile long lake here but it's far too skinny to produce that kind of snow... we have to wait for at least a mini-blizzard to get those piles. Bundle up, Pat!

Take your time; we'll wait for ya.

What a beautiful animal, and the more natural enclosure is so much better than the cages from the past. Thank you for thinking of me, you did a good job Pat. I have been still dealing with leaves, and it's so late in the year. Not sure that I will get it all done, might have to wait till Spring, but I hope not! I froze my ---- off today mulching!

A wonderful photo of this cheetah with sharp and clear details. Temperature -16 C in First half of November already! I'll never be able to tolerate that.

Pat, this is an excellent 'portrait' of this 'kitten, ☺ ' (cheetah).
Could be an image in a picture book about wild life. The lighting is perfect with the result that the colors of this cheetah is that natural as natural can be. Its details are a bonus.
A great job, my friend!

Well composed shot Pat and quite colorful. Looking at the eyes on the cat I seem to see a sadness even though it may be well taken care of. Maybe longing for the wild.
