This family of ducks took to the water, as I cam upon them this past summer.

This morning it is -6 but they are calling for it to get up to a balmy 26 degrees tomorrow. :) I have not been out on the roads since last Friday, and plan on waiting at least one more day. The road crews could not deice the roads, with salt, because of the extreme cold temps kept the salt from doing it's job. So I'm just staying put, why take a chance, I just don't think it's worth it. Driveway is now cleared so i can get out when I want to. :) I hope your all doing well.

Cute photo of the ducks Sandi. Ducks are always so peaceful to watch as they bob around. 26 degrees! Sounds like it's time for t-shirts and shorts! Yippee!

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
I love the softness of the water and the ripples it add a lovely feel to this photo and the detail is stunning .Plus the light and shade along with the composition is amazing.

At first I thought "Where the heck did you find open water?" Then I read your post. As a Navy vet I've always likened the way a duck's rear looks a lot like a watercraft, and here we have a flotilla! Nice shot and cropping to fit the group into a pano. I bet this would look cool on a wall, printed large on canvas paper. -Nik

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Think that they need some more education, Sandi. It's not polite to show your back to someone who does a lot of effort to make the best possible portrait, lol!!!!!

A very nice "family" shot Sandi - we went out this AM and it's still pretty bad put there both roads and parking lots. Our garage door froze half down after we got the car out so we'll have to wait to close it the rest of the way. The remains outside in the elements unfortunately.

Please don't get out in that snowy mess if you don't have too. I'm in for a heat wave myself and let that cold go away. These ducks are beautiful and I especially like that pillow soft looking water. This is so soothing Sandi.

26 degrees and still complaints ...? Here barely 0 today and getting frosty for a change and of course more rain to freeze on the streets to make walking almost impossible for dogs as I can go on with sliding [skatewise]. :)
