Hi Mia, thank you for your kind words about my graduation. I'll send an early congratulations back over your way as you've only got five weeks left. Good luck with any finals and such!
Dear Mia,
I'm glad for your positive response on my comments on your Palm House image.
I looked at your gallery again and became very enthusiastic of what I found there. So, I left a vew comments with some tips for adjustements. Just bear in mind, I do that because I really think your work is smashing and it deserves some real critics.
Best regards, Paul
Hello Mia, hope you will forgive me, but this message is pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my image “Rhapsody". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
Hi, Mia!
Yes, Sunflowers have an intensity that captures well in photogrphy. I like how you did that one that shows 1/4 of a sunflower like a pie.. the petals are offset and the image looks like the flames on the side of the sun. Very nice.
I posted another, finally got a red one and it IS INTENSE. Please be my guest and check out "Sun-Set Sunflower"! ~Ouimon~
Mia.....Hey You... :-)
TY for the critique on the Sun-Set Sunflower.. I know what you mean.. The color that it picked up was so bright that it is hard to focus on. I had the same trouble trying to take pictures of bright blossoms just before sun-set and the flash would go off and the bloom would look like a hallogen beam.. Just try it with a white daisy! Again, TY for visiting my photo! I appreciate input and personal reflections on pictures. :-) ~Ouimon~
Hey it's cool! You know, I get a good shot and also get lucky when the focus is good. I have to filter through lots of pics that just don't cut it. I think that sunflower color picked up so brightly that it just doesn't fit into the background... like it is an alien just floating there in the garden! Lol. Later, then.... ~Ouimon~
Jekyll Island Driftwood2 was not staged. A storm or some other force place sea shell in this location. I just noticed the pattern and took the shot. Thanks Mia for the very nice comments.

Then in their trouble they called to the Lord, and He saved them from their distress. He brought them out of their gloom and darkness and broke their chains in pieces. (Psalm 107:13-14)
Well hello again Mia. Thank you very much for your kind comments on "At the Dying of the Light #2" and thank you for liking it.
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOURS.
Bernd
Mia - many thanks for visiting my Subtle Shades Of Spring image and congrats for figuring out what music it was so quickly! very impressed :-) I greatly appreciated your kind post
Hey Mia, thanks for your lovely comment on Clearwater Greenfield! Gald you liked it. You asked if I use some effects, because the houses are almost like paintings? I've nothing done to this image, I have only framed the image and took away some clouds. Greetings, Jeroen.
Mia, many thanks for your nice words on Pane Of Glass 1. There is a second one coming and probarbly some pictures of church windows later on too. I´m glad you liked this one.
Thank you Mia for the nice comments you left on "Blackwater Falls" and "Silver Bay sunrise".Always nice to hear from you.You have a great eye for photos and I hope to see many more from you..Rob
Hi Mia, thank you for sharing your work, it is trully beautiful and inspiring:) I am just learning about photography, and your work really catches my attention! I have been in the Caribbean, I am sort of from there:P.... was born in Dominican Republic but wasn't there for very long, I also lived in Trinidad and Tobago.

dankeschön für Deinen Kommentar zu "Just Another Sunset".

hello mia, thanks for your kind words. serene is a word i should have used. i'm sure there are days with bad weather (wind, rain, etc) where it is wild. i saw it in this calm beautiful way. jen
aloha from your often absent compadre! i've been clicking away! hope you're all enjoying your summer. <* href="http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Caedes::Gallery&author=jeenie11&page=1">my gallery</*>
Hello Mia. Thank you for your lovely comments about “Mainly Sunlight”. Don’t worry Mia, I’m not a prolific poster but there certainly will be more photos coming.
Mia,
Thanks for the generous comments regarding Displaced, they're much appreciated. The image does have a rather eerie vibe to it.
Take care.
-Gregory
I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends.
Sincerely,
Carrie

I'm with you on it being tough to take a good shot with the wide aperture with the 50mm 1.8. The one i posted was actually at f4 i think. Thanks for your comment.

Hallo Mia,
Hi Mia, glad you liked my 'stormy waters' photo - this is a bit more dramatic than I usually post and I was unsure how it would be received! sooo thanks for the positive feedback! :) Patti

Grins.
Thank you for your "Prague 7" comments. I am one of those very odd people that actually enhances the texture of a photo to help bring out a mood, but I will look for that neatimage site.
Hello, Mia: You wrote -- "I think you are a bit exaggerating there" -- but if you check some of my other comments, you will see that undue praise is not something I give. So I meant every word I said, believe me! - Greg
Hi, Mia: Thanks for your comments on my Otter Lake photo. I confess, I did boost the colors somewhat, as well as reducing the red channel to enrich the greens and blues. (I have no compunctions about "improving" a little on Mother Nature now and then!) - Greg
Hi, Mia: I was just joking about that tourist in the second cathedral photo, but I mentioned it for two reasons -- (1) you had talked about tourists in the first cathedral photo, and (2) I was surprised that you had not cloned him out. (I think I spend more time editing my own photos than most people do.) - Greg
Smile
One item on my "bucket list" is to visit every National Park in the United States. So far, 2 are in the book. Please check out my website for all my shots from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
thank you so much for your comments on "Unabashed".
I wish I had been able to get more of the sculpture in also but I was at the base and the lens I had was as wide as I could go.
Thanks a lot for your time, in viewing and replying to some of my Österreich images.
It is lovely to find another Austrian here since i like your country so much.
More images will be up soon, thanks again.

Thanks for adding me to your friends-list. Hope you'll enjoy my future images.
Saw that you're at Caedes since 2004. That's a pretty long time. Was peeking through your gallery as well and found some very good images. Strange that I didn't notice this before.
It's anyhow a good reason to add you to my friends-list too.
Regards, Cornelius
Thanks For your comment, Mia. I wasn't sure if the color in the distance was a good idea at first, but I thought it made the shot a little more interesting. Thanks for the input!
Hello Mia...I am so happy you enjoyed my FOg photo...I agree with you, I liked the sunlight on the water also. IT makes it so soft. It was nice of you to tell me how much you enjoyed this photo...thank you again. Verena
Hello Mia :-) thanks for your nice comment to my posting "Austria 77"
Been to Salzburg at least 15 times and i never get bored with this lovely but small city. I also love the region, so nearby the German Berchtesgadener Land, and the Austrian Salzkammergut. Danke schön und viele grüssen aus Holland.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on "A Hard Day". The dog was a little out of focus b/c I was taking the picture from the front seat of a moving car. The dog was too lazy to move lol
Seeing you add me to your friends list I thought I'd go check out your gallery. Wow! I remember seeing a few of your submissions previously, and even giving a couple well-deserved high marks in the voting booth, but I didn't realize that so many of your photos are exceptional. I'm adding you to my own list so I can see what new treasures you're willing to share with us. Thanks for your consideration.
