Image: In Terms of Light

Sometimes you just do something really silly. Such was the case last week when I missed out on this image by driving away from my photo-shoot One Minute Before Sunrise, so this weekend after my long-suffering wife endured two days of ill-temper, I decided to try again this morning. This time I parked on the side of the highway fifteen minutes before sunrise, turned on my hazard indicator lights, and began snapping photos. About forty images later this was the result. My wife will be glad to have her husband back I am sure. **

Regmar,

Thanks for commenting Orange you happy for me?. It didn't take too much work, but making the contrast that high took some effort, especially with all the different colors. But again, thank you for your comment.

Ideas, unlike solid structures, do not perish. They remain immortal, immaterial and everywhere, like all Divine things. Ideas are a golden, savage landscape that we wander unaware, without a map. Be careful: in the last analysis, reality may be exactly what we think it is. - Alan Moore

Hello Regmar! Thanks for taking time to view and comment on my High Falls Sunrise 3 image. The guy on the right was actually another photographer. I think he was trying to get a shot of the Heron on the left bank. I had my camera set on iso 3200 by accident so it had some heavy grain and noise. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

thank you for the comments on "creating against the sky".
It is all about how an image speaks to us and as I have learned, mine speak to me and few others. For me, any type of darkening would have destroyed the intention I had with the overall effect. One of the concepts was that inspiration was blinding and secondly that and perhaps more importantly that we as humans can not be expected to live in such illumination all the time and it is permissible to make mistakes.

Thanks for the comments on "grand central"...I really appreciate your thoughts. Glad you like the colors, they felt warm to me. I see what you're saying about the angle of the background building...I'll have to revisit the area and see what else I can work out. Thanks again for taking the time to write a great critique!
