.........a small waterfall along the river Bollin which is local to where I live - I took a short walk along the valley late afternoon, hoping to catch some good light, but it was rather dull except for the odd moment ....so I took several in a short time! trigger happy I am - I have to learn to slow down and not take so many! :)

Beautiful clarity in your shot. I see that autumn is still doing well in your part of the world. By the way, when you are trigger happy, the world smiles at the results.

Better trigger happy than have to return for another shot. It's nice to see the fall colors are still hanging on like John said. The water definitely looks like it's still cascading. Great photo Patti and I'm glad you ventured out, even if for just a bit. We're the luckier for it.

A super shot indeed. Must be getting really cold there...the water is slowing down.

Patti,
Evidently trigger-happy is good, because this is gorgeous. How do you make the water get the soft look? Any advice to a novice?

Super shot...shoot away, my friend. That's one of the things I absolutely love about digital over film. You never know how you're going to like something that you might not think is striking now. When it's cold and there is no more color at all any shots like these are going to warm the cockles of your heart and ours.

When I was a teenager I used to live on Bollin Grove in Prestbury and the river Bollin was 50 yards away from our front gate. What a great picture of little falls and thanks for bringing back memories.

You hopped over the fence into Virginia Water didn't you!!!

Love this - it's the kind of shot I was hoping to get last weekend. You got the shutter speed just right to get a nice effect on the water, and the golds in the foliage are just great.

Double Decker ! Nice Patti. I took a shot of one about a month ago. The only waterfall I've ever seen in Louisiana. It was about a foot high. LOL ! Maybe I'll dedicate it to you.

What astonish me is not only this wonderful picture, but your continuous perseverance for catching more and more beautiful scenes. As for the number of photos, I think it's always better to take several, even slowly, as long as we can choose the best and delete the others. Thanks Patti.
