Even though you can't tell by looking, I was actually on a very steep part of this hill. It was so lovely after having been bathed by the freshing rain that I couldn't let the overcast skies stop me!!
I love autumn and I love your pictures of it!! We have mostly evergreen trees or they turn yellow, not the range of colour you capture so well, thank you!
Like the way you posted this. It feels narrow like the road. It gives me the feeling I'm in car traveling down this roadway and totally enjoying the view. I hope our leaves get half as stunning as the one's you've shown here. A truly great Autumn scene.

That's funny. I took a shot almost exactly like this one, but didn't post it because the sky was awash. You must have been out the same day as me, Monday? Still the beautiful bright reds and yellows show so nicely on this shot. They say that contrast is often better on an overcast day and they are right. Beautiful post, PJ.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Just a treasure ...
Many thanks for sharing something so charming with all of us here !!!!
Personally I find this image particularly attractive because it touches my latest idee fix [I am not sure of spelling - this is supposed to be in French] which is transitional nature of all things. Congratulations, dearest PJ, from your loving fan !

This one I like. As beautiful as the trees are, I think the road also helps to set the tone here. Dying trees and a dying road. With any luck the road will get a makeover in the Spring - just like the trees. Another Autumn gem PJ, I hope you keep 'em coming.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

well you did great in overcast weather to capture such beautiful tones PJ! It's all uphill from here onwards! lol! One excuse - being a photographer, you can just stop now and again and say "I need to take a photograph" and have a little rest! :) lovely aspect and a road I would not be able to stop myself walking up!

Great shot 'Lil PJ. It makes me want to jump in a pile of leaves; which would not be pretty at 53. Splendid shot, the vertical aspect really gives this depth.

More fireworks. I can't imagine what it must be like having to wear your sunglasses to look at the trees, but if you didn't you'd be dazzled. You did great to get this despite the sky being so grey. Hope you didn't get too out of puff!
This view quite honestly ROCKS. I feel liberated just looking at this picture, wanting to take off running through the path the trees border. Great capture PJ :)
shhhh, I can hear the swaying of the tree's, I can hear the rustle of the leaves, I can hear the crickets beginning their song, I can hear the joy of my heart as I rest my eyes upon this...
