Perfect tribute..It is amazing how one person can change the world (literally). Now all the bickering about the Art Council and other subjects just doesn't seem to matter any more. Everything just seems so small now without her around. This makes us releaize how precious life is and how we all should treasure our friends with every breathe we take. See the beauty that is all around us and enjoy it to it's fullness.
She was always so kind and loving with a spirit that was full of life. She will never be forgotten and I know my life is for the better just for knowing her.
All images seem different, the sky seems blooer and the flowers smell sweeter. Thank you Miss V for touching our lives in a way that has never been touched before and we all are better people for it.
RIP dear friend and I know when I see that beautiful sky and hear that roar of a Harley engine and smell that sweet country air, it will always have a touch of you with it.

When I was new to this site she was the one who welcomed me the warmest and encourage me in my works. She was an inspiration to me for her creativity. I will surely miss her. Thank you Vee for the inspiration you've given me, you'll not be forgotten.

In less than a year she wrote me a lot of letters which I carefully saved.
Just read them again... 20.640 words to be exact

My condolences to Verena's family and many friends. She was a tireless and enthusiastic supporter of many artists here, as well as frequent contributor. Her perpetual good cheer always seemed to add a little something extra to every comment or exchange. She will be greatly missed.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Verena's passing. I always enjoyed her sense of humor and her love of the color blue. She will be missed...Carrie

I still can't believe this..what a shock ! My deepest sympathies to Verena's families and friends. But I'd like to say what wonderful words Nathan...I couldn't agree more. Shine on Verena hon.

I'm in total shock. I just talked with Verena last week and we were supposed to be going to the beach to take pictures. I will really miss our lunches together and our photography outings. She was a really fun person to be with.

She always had a kind comment or observation to make on the members work here on caedes.net.She will be hard to replace.

Geri: A fitting tribute within Caedes where she counted many as friends.

This was heartbreaking news and I was so shocked and sadden when I heard it. Verena has been a major part of my life on Caedes, she was always such a nice and compassionate friend caring about people and if they had problems her thoughtful and kind words of wisdom would cheer them up. I was truly sorry when her Mom died just before Christmas and sent her my prayers. Verena will always be a lively spirit so full of life and love in my mind. I always admired her paintings and artistic ability. Fly free forever soaring in the skies Verena with the wind beneath your wings.

A few things... lavender, the color bloo, sushi, manzanita beach, vanilla, little pillows, foodnetwork channel, cast iron skillets, cornbread, fresh herbs, sugarfree peppermint syrup, mama mia, young and the restless, fruit salad w/apples!, BACON, "if you got it flaunt it!", the game of life, messy handwriting :), "pashaw!", blond jokes hehe, santana, chris isaak, burgerville, saki (good times mom!), Montana, road trips....and on and on. The memories of my mom will never ever end, she is forever. I miss you.

My heart aches. My family is spending on the Oregon coast this coming week, partially due to the lovely postings of Verena. I was hoping to catch her somewhere snapping photos and introduce myself! I will miss seeing her magnificent photos and reading her sunny commentary.
I know her spirit will continue to encourage others!

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Verena's passing and thank you, Geri, for paying tribute in this way to this special Caedes member. There are few here who made such a consistent and genuine effort to reach out and "touch" fellow members as Verena did. I shared a number of warm and special exchanges with her here over the past few years and will miss her a lot. Wen

She was the first to ever comment and encourage me when I posted my first photo here. I will dearly miss her touching comments and messages.

I just came back from a trip without internet.
Received an email from one of her daughters... What a shock!
I'm so sad...
When she came on the site, she was very curious about Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, ... I remember I sent a lot of PMs and emails to explain.
Also, she was very demanding about photography. Not happy with her Nikon little cam. Then she bought a second hand Canon Reflex camera.
She wanted to post the most interesting captures, despite her legs problems.

I will always remember how Verena's constructive comments and warm welcome to new artists took a part in holding this community together -I guess she was one of the first friends to many artists here when newly registered, if not the first-, not to mention the joy she has spread across Caedes and her cheerful personality. Not only a truly inspiring artist, she always managed to see the soul in each artwork, and she herself used to put her heart and talent into her work as well. She will be dearly missed. May the Lord comfort her family and friends... sure I'm gonna miss her sweet words on my photos. :'(
I hope she has her camera with her, she must be in a beautiful and much better place with God. :')

Just an update... We will never let our angel mother go completely... and yet it must be lovely for her to be able to personally visit all the angelic places all of her friends here on caedes shared with her here before she left. I am excited to have a chance to show some of the pics I have taken with her beloved camera as soon as I get a computer to do so... I want nothing more than to keep her memory on caedes alive.
